BOM Manager - Simplify your Bill of Material Management
View, Edit and Manage all of your Made2Manage Bills of Material in one simple interface.
The concept of the BOM Manager is that you now have a single portal into your Made2Manage Bills of Material, regardless of the BOM Type (Standard BOM's, Job BOM's, Order BOM's, and/or Quote BOM's). It provides a desktop in which the user can now view multiple BOM's on his desktop at one time. By normalizing all of the Made2Manage Bill of Material Types into a common format, it provides a consistent interface to view, edit and manage all of the BOM's in your system, regardless of their specific type.
The BOM Manager currently consists of 3 modules:
The BOM Manager does not consume any of your Made2Mange user licenses. So you can easily off-load your Engineers to this system, freeing up precious M2M User Seats. The BOM Manager is written fully in Microsoft .Net.
The Reporter Module allows you to visualize all of you BOM's in a unique and consistent way. This is the base module of the BOM Manager and it is a required feature. The Reporter modules performs the following features, regardless of the Bill of Material Type (Standard, Job, Order, or Quote).
- Integrated Routings: Optionally show the Routing at each level of the BOM.
- Level Coding: User defined color coding for each level.
- Multi-View/Single Level: Easily switch between Multi-Level and Single Level views.
- Indented/Summarized: Easily switch between Indented and Summarized views.
- Consolidated Summary: Consolidate multiple BOM's into one Summarized view.
- Compare: Identify the differences between two Bills of Materials.
- Find Parents: Locate BOM's which match certain criteria (ie. Description, Customer, Job Date, etc.)
- Find Components: Identifies where a component is used within a Standard, Job, Order or Quote BOM. Apply certain criteria (Customer, Job, Date Ranges, etc.) to further refine the searches.
- Print: Print efficient BOM reports for any type of Bill of Material.
- Export: Easily export Bill of Material data.
The Editor Module builds upon the Reporter Module allowing you to make edits to the Bills of Materials, which will be updated to your Made2Manage system.
- Drag and Drop:
- Drag complete Sub-Assemblies and Components from one Bill of Material to other Bill of Material.
- Optionally drag the routing when you drag any manufactured Parts.
- Option to "Drag" Job Actuals or Estimates when dragging from a Job BOM.
- Replace\Delete Components
- Mass replacement\deletions of components based on multiple selection criteria
- Selective replacement\deletions.
- Edit BOM: Easily Edit BOM information.
The Importer Module allow you to import from virtually any type of text file, directly into a Standard, Job, Order, and/or Quote Bill of Material.
